The demolition for both the Texaco gas station and the Wells Fargo drive-thru have been completed. Demolition on the rest of the Wells Fargo building will be completed by May.
KFC/Taco Bell Demolition Now Complete
The demolition for the KFC Taco Bell building has also been completed. City Staff has been working diligently in helping them both find a place to relocate to within Seabrook.
Texaco Demolition
The demolition at the former Texaco gas station, located at 1810 Bayport, is currently underway. Texaco has announced they have no plans to rebuild in the City. More details will be provided when they are available.
Ryan's Cleaners Relocates
Due to the SH146 expansion, Ryan’s Dry Cleaners has officially moved. They have been at their new location for about a month now, on the far north side of town in the Seabrook Plaza at 5735 Bayport.
Tookie’s Burgers Closing
Long time favorite and local Seabrook restaurant, Tookie’s Burgers, recently announced they will be closing in Seabrook on Sunday, January 28 at 10pm due to the Highway 146 expansion. Tookie’s Burgers has served the Seabrook community since 1975 and we will miss them dearly! If you haven’t already, stop by Tookie’s Burgers in Seabrook one last time this weekend and wish them well on their new business venture!
Laredo’s Tex-Mex Closed
Laredo’s Tex-Mex Café on SH146 is closed until further notice. Laredo’s has been in Seabrook since 1969 and has served the Seabrook community with delicious homemade Mexican and Tex-Mex family recipes. They will surely be missed! Seabrook City Staff is working with the Owner about relocation options within the community. More details about Laredo’s will be announced when it is made available.
Benjamin’s Automotive Relocating
Benjamin’s Automotive currently located at 1425 Bayport Blvd. will be relocating to a new location at 2830 E. NASA Pkwy. formerly Bay Area Transmission. They plan on being at their new location by the end of the year!
Popeye’s Demolition Continues
The demolition at the former Popeye’s restaurant located at 2200 Bayport is almost complete. Demolition should be completed by the end of the week.
Neptune Subs to Close
Longtime Seabrook business owner, Vinny Schillaci, announced that Neptune Subs will close business on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Neptune Subs has been in Seabrook for over 39 years and will be sorely missed! They will also be hosting a farewell party on Sunday, December 3rd inviting the public to come and bid adieu to Vinny and his team!
Demolition begins on KFC/Taco Bell
TxDOT has begun the demolition at the former KFC/Taco Bell location on State Highway 146. KFC/Taco Bell closed for business on January 2017 due to the expansion of the highway. City Staff is working with the franchise owner on finding a new site for the restaurant.
