TXDOT has begun the demolition at the former Popeye’s location on State Highway 146. Popeye’s closed for business on July 2016 in anticipation of the expansion of the highway. The demolition should be completed in about 10 days.
New Construction on Repsdorph Circle
We are pleased to announce that construction has started for the new Autozone and CVS Pharmacy at the Seabrook Town Center, located around Repsdorph Circle. Both are expected to be open by the first quarter of 2018! Stay tuned for more details.
Wells Fargo on SH 146 to Close January 2018
The Wells Fargo Seabrook branch located at 1600 Highway 146 just announced they will close for business on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. We invite the community to bank at the NASA Parkway branch located nearby at 2929 NASA Parkway in Seabrook. The NASA Parkway branch and drive-up are open Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
TxDOT and Union Pacific Come to an Agreement
The following statement has been released by the Texas Department of Transportation Houston District.
“TxDOT is pleased to have reached a negotiated settlement with Union Pacific Railroad and right of way acquisitions are moving forward. TxDOT is diligently working toward having the SH 146 reconstruction project ready and available for letting this coming summer (2018).“
Neptune Subs to Close Later this Year
Longtime Seabrook business owner, Vinny Schillaci, has decided to close Neptune Subs later this year. This one of a kind deli has been a Seabrook landmark for years and we are very sad to see it close. Neptune Subs may be most known for their “Bald Mondays” that are held the first Monday of every month. According to Vinny “the more you shine the cheaper you dine!”
Autozone & CVS plan to relocate to Seabrook Town Center
We are pleased to announce that both Autozone and CVS are planning to relocate to the new Seabrook Town Center that will be located around the Repsdorph Traffic Circle. Construction on Autozone will begin later this year. More details about when the stores will relocate and open will be announced when it is made available.
Walgreens to close October 2017
Walgreens and TxDOT have reached an agreement and the Seabrook store will be closing later in October 2017. It is unknown at this time when the building will be removed.
Tookies to relocate across the bridge
While we are sad to see Tookies move across the bridge we are glad this longtime community establishment will be staying in business. Tookies will be moving across to the old Ichibon building in Kemah. Details about the move have yet to be announced.
Mario’s Flying Pizza moving to NASA Pkwy.
We are so happy to announce that Mario’s Flying Pizza has found a new location on NASA Parkway in the Seabrook Plaza Shopping Center at 2100 E. Nasa Parkway. Construction on the new site will begin in October 2017.
Sonic Closes
On Sunday, July 30 the Seabrook Sonic Drive In closed. The City of Seabrook was not given notice prior the closing of the business. At this time we do not have a confirmation if a new Sonic franchise will re-open in Seabrook.
