  1. The outside (right) lane on SH146 SBFR from south end of arterial bridge (Abutment 41) to FM 2094 nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on 1/11/23 to 1/20/23. This closure is to paint the bridge structure. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

These closures are subject to change if needed due to weather.

SH146 Updates

Please take a moment to review these upcoming lane and street closures:

  1. Repsdorph and E. Meyer in Seabrook will be fully closed to east and west traffic at the intersection of SH146 from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am on 1/19/23 to 1/20/23. This closure is to strip the overhang at Repsdorph Overpass. 4 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

    1. Detour for Repsdorph eastbound traffic to go north on SH 146 and to access E. Meyer: Turn right onto southbound SH 146, make a U-turn at NASA 1, and travel north on SH 146 or to access E. Meyer. 

    2. Detour for E. Meyer westbound traffic to go south on SH 146 and to access Repsdorph: Take a right onto northbound SH 146, make a U-turn at Red Bluff to begin traveling southbound on SH 146, or access Repsdorph.

    3. Detour for SH 146 southbound traffic to E. Meyer: Head south on SH 146, take a left onto Red Bluff, take a right onto Old SH 146, take a left onto Red Bluff, take a right onto Todville Rd, then travel south to E. Meyer.

    4. Detour for SH 146 northbound traffic to Repsdorph: Travel north on SH 146, make a U-turn at Red Bluff to begin traveling southbound on SH 146, and take a right on Repsdorph.

  2. The outside (right) lane of SH146 NBFR from Cien Rd to Bel Rd daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 1/11/23 through 1/27/23.

  1. The inside (left) lane on SH146 NBFR from Repsdorph to NASA daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 1/13/23 to 1/20/23. This closure is to pour drilled shafts for sign columns. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  2. The inside (left) lane on SH146 SBFR from Repsdorph to NASA daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 1/13/23 to 1/20/23. This closure is to pour drilled shafts for sign columns. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  3. The right (outside) lane on SH146 NBFR at Bel Rd continuously from 7:00 AM on 1/16/23 to 7:00 AM on 1/20/23. This closure is to fast-track the right side of the Bel Rd intersection. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  1. Detour for SH 146 northbound traffic to Bel Rd: Head north on SH146 NBFR, turn right onto Cien Rd, turn left onto Kipp Ave, and turn left onto Bel Rd.

  2. Detour for SH 146 southbound traffic to Bel Rd:  Head south on SH146 SBFR, turn left onto Bel Rd, turn left onto SH146 NBFR to begin traveling northbound, turn right onto 10th St, turn right onto Kipp Ave, turn right onto Bel Rd. 

  3. Detour for Bel Rd eastbound traffic to cross SH146 and continue to Bel Rd: Turn left onto Bel Rd, turn left onto SH146 NBFR to begin traveling northbound, turn right onto 10th St, turn right onto Kipp Ave, turn right onto Bel Rd.

  4. Detour for Bel Rd westbound traffic: Turn right onto Kipp Ave, right onto Cien Rd, and right onto SH146 NBFR.

3. The outside (right) lane on SH146 SB arterial from 500’ north of 6th St to FM2094 nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on 12/14/22 to 12/16/22. This closure is to paint bridge structures. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

4. The outside (right) lane on FM2094 eastbound nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on 12/14/22 to 12/16/22. This closure is to paint bridge structures. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

Weekly Update

Below are updated lane closure postings for this week.  

UPDATED CLOSURES: 

  1. Southbound Feeder Road Traffic Switch - A traffic switch will occur starting Monday, December 5th at 7:00 PM through Thursday, December 8th at 5:00 AM as a result the 6th Street Left Turn will be closed and traffic will be redirected to turn right at FM2094, followed by a right onto Carolyn Street and then taking a U-Turn under the bridge to access 6th Street and the Boardwalk District.  The traffic shift will also result in alternating lane closures.

  2. The inside (left) lane on SH146 SBFR 2000’ north of NASA RD 1 will be closed from 1:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 12/6/22. This closure is to pour the bridge deck on the SB Express bridge for unit 1. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

Updated Lane Closures

UPDATED LANE CLOSURES: 

  1. The inside (left) turn lane on SH 146 NB at the FM 2094 intersection from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 11/10/22. This closure is for the outriggers of the pump truck to assist with the bridge deck pour. 2 off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  2. The outside (right) eastbound lane on FM 2094 at the intersection with SH 146 from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 11/10/22. This closure is for the bridge deck pour. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

This closure is for paving the south U-Turn. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during this closure.

  2. The inside (left) eastbound lane on FM 2094 at the intersection with SH 146 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 10/31/22 through 11/2/22. These closures are for girder trimming. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  3. The inside (left) westbound lane on FM 2094 at the intersection with SH 146 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 10/31/22 through 11/1/22. These closures are for girder trimming. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

UPDATED FULL CLOSURES: 

  1. FM2094 will be fully closed (both directions) just west of SH146 daily from 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 11/7/22 through 11/9/22. This closure is to strip overhang jacks. Four off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during this closure.

    1. Detour for traffic on SH146: FM2094 can be accessed by turning west on FM518 until you reach FM2094.

    2. Detour for traffic on FM2094: SH146 can be reached by traveling west on FM2094, south on FM270, and east on SH96.

Updated Closures - October 17

UPDATED CLOSURES: 

  1. The inside (left) northbound lane on SH 146 NBFR will be closed from NASA to Tookies Seafood from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 10/18/22. This closure is for a bridge deck pour. One off-duty police officer is anticipated to be used during this closure.

  2. The inside (left) southbound lane on SH 146 SBFR and inside (left) northbound lane on SH 146 NBFR will be closed at the Repsdorph intersection from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 10/18/22. This closure is for paving the north U-Turn. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during this closure.

  3. The outside (right) southbound lane on SH 146 SBFR will be closed from 6th St to FM 2094 daily from 12:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, 10/20/22, to Friday, 10/21/22. These closures are for the concrete pump. 2 off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  4. The inside (left) eastbound lane on FM 2094 at the intersection with SH 146 daily from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Tuesday, 10/18/22, to Wednesday, 10/19/22. These closures are for girder trimming, and no off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  5. The inside (left) westbound lane on FM 2094 at the intersection with SH 146 daily from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Tuesday, 10/18/22, to Wednesday, 10/19/22. These closures are for girder trimming, and no off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.

  6. Alternating Channel Closures
    Boat traffic under the Clear Creek Channel Bridge can expect alternating channel closures (north and south bound) during the week with a full southbound channel closure during the weekends. Please follow posted signage and signals. Both south and northbound channels will be open during major events as required by the US Coast Guard. Boaters may expect this traffic pattern for the next 8-10 months. Contractors are working to complete the fendering system under the bridge.

October 3 Updates

This post is to notify the community of upcoming road and lane closures.  

FULL CLOSURES:

  1. NASA 1 and Main Street in Seabrook will be fully closed to east and west traffic at the intersection of SH146 from 12:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday, 10/7/22. This closure is for the bridge deck pour over Nasa Rd. 2 off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during this closure.

    1. Detour for NASA 1 eastbound traffic to Main Street: Turn left on Repsdorph, use round-a-bout to go east on E. Meyer Avenue, then take a right on Todville Road, continuing south until you reach Main Street.

    2. Detour for Main Street westbound traffic and SH 146 northbound traffic to NASA 1: Take a right onto SH 146, head north, u-turn at E. Meyer Avenue, and travel south on SH 146 to NASA 1.

    3. Detour for SH 146 southbound to Main Street: Head south on SH 146, take a left onto E. Meyer Avenue, take a right at Todville Road, and travel south to Main Street.

    4. NASA 1 between Repsdorph and SH 146 will be limited to local traffic only. All local traffic must turn right at SH 146 and head southbound.

LANE CLOSURES: 

  1. The outside (right) southbound lane on SH 146 SBFR will be closed from NASA Rd to the arterial bridge from 1:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 10/4/22. This closure is for concrete paving. No off-duty police officers are anticipated to be used during these closures.
